Primary Role
The Network Support Engineer (NSE) installs, configures, tests, maintains, troubleshoots, and tunes network infrastructure (i.e., routers, switches, gateways, firewall systems, premise distribution, voice/video systems, and security systems). Provides technical leadership for network problem escalation and resolution. Performs system capacity planning to ensure appropriate growth and evolution of systems. Develops and coordinates plans for periodic penetration testing of all applications and network elements for adherence to regulations.

Working Relationships
- Directly report to Line Manager/supervisor and others if need;
- Work across in different teams in different locations if need;
- Work with clients and/or counterparts if have.

Professional Responsibilities
• Provide BAU support and services in resolving daily network issues.
• Ensure all network devices are functioning to optimum states, provide recommendations for improvement and adhere to network security aspect.
• Provide network capacity and sizing, utilization and availability to ensure all network devices performed optimum state and availability targets are achieved.
• Working together with Architects end-to-end for any project assigned.
• Ensure all network and security are well covered within the project execution.
• Ability to negotiate with Vendors on contract and any documentation preparation.
• Responsible for various network projects, recommending solutions to network related issues and problems.
• To provide network design options in multi-platform / multi-protocol environment.
• Support and contain daily network activities, health check, capacity & utilization, in large multi-protocol Enterprise Network operations.
• Perform critical network related evaluations and developments, recommendations in large Enterprise network to sustain customer's requirements for Project and Operation needs.
• Develop detailed network specifications, diagrams, BOM, RUD, LTM, PTM, POC related documents, manuals based upon client requirements and adherence to standards / SOE.
• Responsible to provide documentation on network devices health analysis, capacity, cost configurations, utilizations, manuals, support & troubleshooting guide, and address audit matters.
• Ability to support large multi-protocol Enterprise network, provide escalated support for junior engineers.
• Attend customer / vendor meeting for project execution, and internal daily service meeting as needed.
• Ensure all network related issues or incidents are logged, resolved in the shortest possible time as SLA between customer/supplier will be impacted.


Professional Requirements
• From 02 years experience in this position.
• Candidate must possess at lease a Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Telecommunications Network or equivalent.
• Must be CCNA Certified and above (CCNP)
• Candidate with F5 Load-Balancer, Steel Belt Radius, Packeteer packets shaper hands-on setup and troubleshooting skills or certification would definitely an added advantage.
• Have sound knowledge and hands-on experience with OSPF and BGP routing skills.
• Sound knowledge in network routing and switching troubleshooting skills, network security, capacity sizing & planning.
• Must have experience in router and switch installation, configuration and troubleshooting in large Enterprise network in multi-protocol environment.
• Be ready to work odd and long hours to meet timeline.


Education/Training

• Bachelor's degree is a plus;
• College degree and/or Diploma are considered;
• Certificates in related areas of network, security are preferred.
